The Eagles improved their record to 3-4 with a blowout win at Public Safety Academy on Monday night by a score of 54-14.
After a close first quarter, the Eagles began pulling away and had muscled out a 23-12 lead at halftime. The Eagles would explode out of the gate out scoring their opponents 31-2 in the second half to come away with their 3rd victory of the season.
Katie Bevan led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points with 1 rebound. Bevan was terrific in the paint, going 7-8 with her lay-ups.
Louiana Salazar was right behind Bevan scoring 14 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and racking up 4 assists.
Kory Washington once again led the Eagles in rebounds with 12, also scoring 5 points on 4 attempts.
Courtney Sillings provided the Eagles with a spark off the bench, scoring 6 points on 7 attempts to go along with her 2 rebounds.
Sarah Humphrey also scored 6 points on 6 attempts with 5 rebounds and 1 block.
Renee D'Espyne played solid defense throughout the night and held her opponent scoreless and frustrated.
Jeni Arreola scored 2 points, had 1 rebound, and 1 steal on the day.
Cheltzie Brumett scored 4 points and had a spectacular 6 steals in the game. Alex Rueger had 1 point and 1 steal.
Just as Public Safety Academy seemed poised to make a run and get back in the game after making a lay-up late in the game, Shay Long put the game out of reach with a lay-up of her own, giving her 2 points on the night.

Katie Bevan is 2nd in points scored (65) and third in steals (6). Sarah Humphrey is 3rd in points scored (41), T-second in blocks (6), and 4th in rebounds (22). Kory Washington leads the team in rebounds (78), 4th in points (30), and 3rd in blocks (5). Courtney Sillings is tied for 2nd with 6 blocks. Jeni Arreola is second in scoring among freshman with 18 points (Washington is first with 30).
